We’d love for you to tweet during (or after!) the show, but please be smart about it! A lit screen in the dark theatre can be very distracting to the performers and the other audience members around you. Cameras, cellphones with video/recording, or any recording devices are prohibited while the show is in progress. Please turn ringers OFF during the performance. Outside food and beverages are not permitted to be opened or consumed in the theatre. And remember - we are not your TV, so if you talk during the performance - we can hear you!

About The Brave New Workshop

The Brave New Workshop Comedy Theatre has been creating audacious, hilarious, and thought-provoking original comedy on Hennepin Avenue for 60 years - longer than any other theatre in the United States. The satirical sketch comedy crafted by our talented writers/performers can be topical or timeless - and always freakin’ funny.

Brave New Workshop was founded by Dudley Riggs in 1958, and has been co-owned by John Sweeney and Jenni Lilledahl since 1997.

Student Union

Creative Outreach

Whether it’s an interactive keynote, a deep-dive workshop, or a train-the-trainer extravaganza, we utilize humor, empathy, storytelling, improvisation and world class instructional design to maximize our time together. Our Creative Outreach branch offers keynotes, trainings, workshops, MC, and custom entertainment for your company.

Happy Hour Squared
HH2 is a happy hour like no other. Drink fantastic Finnegan’s beer while making sandwiches that go to feed the hungry in our neighborhoods. Join us every third Thursday - and if you bring a non-perishable food item, you get 2-for-1 on beer!
