The Brave New Workshop Theatre (BNW) is pleased to announce the cast and schedule for its 2013 winter show: "Babe Lincoln and the Vajazzled Badge of Courage." Previews for the show run January 24-31, 2013, with opening night on February 1. The show closes on March 9. All performances are at the Brave New Workshop Theatre main stage at 824 Hennepin Avenue, Downtown Minneapolis. In "Babe Lincoln and the Vajazzled Badge of Courage," the BNW showcases two of its biggest talents, Twin Cities comedy veterans Lauren Anderson and Katy McEwen, as they unleash a war chest of comedy in this courageously funny two woman show. "Babe Lincoln and the Vajazzled Badge of Courage" is the 279th comedy revue by the BNW.
"I'm super excited to be doing a show with Lauren." Says McEwen, who is also directing the production. "There's nothing better than doing a show with a great friend, (bonus) fantastic performer, and (double bonus) first-class giver of hugs."
As for the two-woman format, McEwen says "People have asked, 'Why a two-woman show?' Because there's two of us and we're women. 'Nuff said!"
"Babe Lincoln" will feature BNW cast member Lauren Anderson and BNW co-artistic director Katy McEwen. Anderson will have just finished her stint as a cast member in BNW's runaway holiday hit "Fifty Shades of White: A Minnesota XXXmas," her 28th show with BNW. McEwen has been with the Brave New Workshop for 15 years, participating in productions since 1998."Babe Lincoln" is directed by Katy McEwen, with Peter Guertin returning as musical director and Dan Peltzman providing technical direction.
