Position Title:  BNW Sales & Events Ambassador                 Area(s) of Focus:  The BNW Sales & Event Ambassador is the primary person responsible for promoting, selling and managing events and groups for the BNW’s rentals spaces at its new downtown Minneapolis venue.  This person will ensure that the BNW’s rental/groups business thrives at this new location, attracting and managing event rentals and groups, and working in tandem with our external event team, EDG productions, on larger events. Primary Responsibilities: • Creates and executes a sales and marketing plan to secure rental and event business for BNW facilities. • Creates and executes a sales and marketing plan to secure group sales for BNW shows. • Ensures that all parts of the BNW business offerings are considered when nurturing potential BNW event/rental or group clients. • Entertains all sales inquiries regarding rental of any BNW facilities, and works in tandem with EDG Productions to determine best fit for these inquiries. • Understands and determines viability of potential rentals/groups and  ensures that event/rental business is profitable. • Manages all in-house events (those not managed by EDG Productions) (works with vendors, works with internal staff to secure catering, establish room set-up and execute on events) • Collaborates with EDG productions and is primary BNW connection for EDG produced external events. • Captures, organizes and facilitates the vetting process for all “Project 824” potential events/rentals. • Manages company-wide space/event/rental calendar for all facilities, ensuring clear communication and use of space for all BNW programs and events. • Collaborates closely with House Manager, Director of Food and Beverage, Managing Director, Tech Director and Marketing Team to ensure solid event execution and communication surrounding all events, rentals and group sales. • Works with outside vendors (caterers, equipment rentals, etc…) when managing in-house events. • Maintains good data and CRM records for all clients, events, groups and rentals. • Maintains great client cultivation, and ensures ongoing stewardship of relationships. • Conducts venue tours for prospective clients. • Constantly monitoring and communicating possible cross-product sales opportunities (CO products, group tix for another show night, Project 824, Student Union, rentals at 2605, additional rentals from other parts of their org, etc…) • Attends most events as primary client contact. • Attends industry events to promote the BNW  (ISES, Chamber,  MPI, etc. . .) and represents BNW within various professional networking organizations. Job Skill Qualifications / Required: • College degree • Five or more years of previous experience in:  event management and sales, venue management, client cultivation, business support services and/or group/rental sales. Keen knowledge of the corporate event, logistical and meeting planning market. • Proven track record of setting, tracking and achieving sales goals. Understands the principles of sales/marketing cost effectiveness, including market sector targeting, features-benefits-solutions selling, cost per response, etc… • Proven track record of quality execution on events. Able to write proposals and create logistical event outlines, as well as manage execution. • Successful experience with client cultivation and highest standard of customer care. • Excellent organization skills and ability to direct work, manage multiple deadlines and execute on all details.  Forward planner. • Demonstrates success and experience managing major accounts and large contracts, and interfacing with corporate clients. • Good proficiency with spreadsheets, basic computer programs, CRM software Other Qualifications: • Familiarity with Brave New Workshop Theatre history and culture, and culture of improvisation. • Outgoing, driven and passionate. Brings a positive, team focus energy to the work place. • Good collaborator and ability to work with varying levels of professionals. • Desire to work in a dynamic, creative, hard-working, “yes-and” environment, with a personal drive for achievement and world-class results. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be excellent face-to-face , phone and written communicator. Empathic communicator, able to understand client point of view. • Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profitability.  Credible and able to critically assess own performance. • Flexible and varied work schedule.
