Our improvisation classes for youth take an individual focus -- we help each student find their own path to creativity and "play" on stage. We emphasize instinctive play, listening, group and individual trust, as well as ensemble dynamics and basic acting. These classes are held in a highly supportive environment -- our goal is to help each student fall in love with improvisation and find more self confidence. We have all sorts of opportunities to dive into the world of improvisation!
Camps:
Our Improv Camps are perfect for introverts, extroverts, and everyone in between. Students will learn how to work with their scene partners, play with confidence, and listen. Each camp concludes with a demonstration for family and friends on Friday at 1 pm. No previous improv experience required!

The BNW SU Advanced Teen Improv Camp is perfect for the student that is looking to go deeper into improv and learn some new tips and tricks for creating better scenes. Students must have taken one of our regular improv camps, been on our Teen Team or have previous improv experience elsewhere to be eligible for this class. Teen Sketch Writing Camp (ages 13-17):
Camp cost: $195 until 1 month before camp start, $220 after
This camp will take students through the BNW's sketch writing process. Each day will provide them time to write, read, and analyze sketches. No previous experience required.

Youth and Teen Improv Jams:
Spend an afternoon learning improvisation! The Improv Jam is perfect for those with little to no previous improv experience. Jams are separated into sessions for Youth (ages 9-12) and Teens (ages 13-17).

Youth Class:
Ages: 9-12 Cost: $140
This Youth Class is a great introduction to improvisation theatre for beginner improvisers, and the perfect next step for someone who has tried one or two classes already and wants to play more. All six classes are held at our fun new downtown Minneapolis school at 727 Hennepin Avenue.

Teen Troupe:
