Michael McCarthy is coming to the Brave New Workshop Student Union to teach a workshop on submitting your sketch packet to Saturday Night Live!  As a writer for SNL, Seasame Street, The Drew Carey Show and most recently, Mike and Molly, Michael knows what literary agents, TV producers and network executives are looking for. In three hours you will learn to critique, assess and hone your work into a viable sketch packet.  This workshop is distilled from an eight week class that Michael developed for The Comedy Lab at iO West.  Expect a fast paced, information packed afternoon.  Michael has significant teaching experience and is credited with developing the writing programs at The Second City, iO Chicago and iO West and worked with many notable students including Jon Favreau, Tina Fey, Brian Stack, Vanessa Bayer and Matt Walsh.
