Brave New Workshop

Our Advanced Improv Classes are geared towards those that have already taken Everyday Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 or have an  equivalent level of experience. If you are looking to work with some of the most experienced instructors at the Brave New Workshop Student Union and hone your improv skills, then the Advance Level classes are for you!  Contact BNWSU@BraveNewWorkshop.com with any questions.

The following classes are open to experienced improvisers:

Scene Lab
Teacher: Tom Reed
Scene Lab focuses on intense practice with the stage in mind.  In this class you will go deep into strong scene work and some performance structures with a heavy amount of individual coaching.  You will be asked to declare personal goals at the beginning of the session so that the instructor can guide your growth. If you have a desire to begin or improve your work on stage as an improv performer, this class is for you. Registrants should have some mastery of all basic improvisation concepts, as well as a desire to receive feedback
Prerequisites: Everyday Levels 1-4 or equivalent experience.
8 Wednesdays, 3/16/2016 - 5/4/2016 from 6:00-8:00p
This class is capped at 12 students and will likely sell out.  Please contact bnwsu@bravenewworkshop.com to be added to the wait-list if registration isn't available.

Stage Lab

Teacher: Bobby Gardner
NEW for students wanting to perform! Stage Lab is a 4 week course for students who want to bring what they've learned in class to the stage.  In the first week of the course you will receive classroom instruction from a BNW Student Union instructor.  In the remaining 3 weeks, you will work with your instructor for the first 90 minutes of class and then hit the stage for an 8pm live performance at the BNW theatre. All Stage Lab performances will be free and open to the public. This class is designed to give you the opportunity to try performing in a creatively safe environment with the focus on learning-by-doing.
