The Brave New Workshop's (BNW) Corporate Entertainment can be
described with one word:
**"FANTABULASTICDERFUL"
Our talented
writers and actors come from a variety of business backgrounds. They
have spent years writing and performing on stage, in front of a camera,
and in the boardroom.
Our
shows
generally consist of: audience-interactive
improvisation; Brave New Workshop classic songs and sketches; and/or original
comedy scriptwriting specifically
for your group and your event.
About “Best of the Brave New Workshop” Improvisational
Comedy
The Brave New Workshop is pleased to offer some of the most experienced
improvisers in the country. As full-time, salaried employees, we do not
seperate our mainstage improvisers from our corporate improvisers.
They are the one and the same and they are continuously taking part in
improvisational
theatre
as
performers,
instructors, and leaders. They are immersed in the art and agile in
sharing it with any and all audiences. For our business clients, BNW creative
directors
determine the right tone and structures for
the improvisational
performance,
based
on
the scope
and
size of the event,
production timeframe, casting considerations, and any specific client requests
or considerations.
About Brave New Workshop Classic Songs and Sketches
Founded in 1958, The Brave New Workshop has launched the storied
careers of hundreds of famous comics, actors, and writers. Al Franken
and Tom Davis were pulled directly off our stage to become the first
head writers for Saturday Night Live. Other famous alums include Pat
Proft (Naked Gun, Hot Shots, Police Academy), Mo Collins (MAD
TV), Peter
Tolan (Murphy Brown, Gary Shandling Show, Analyze This), Peter
MacNichol (Ally McBeal), Melissa Peterman (Reba), Carl
Lumbly (Alias,
Cagney & Lacey),
Cedric Yarbrough (Reno 911) and Louie Anderson (comedian). The
Brave New Workshop archives is populated with comedic writing from some
of the most prolific writers in the theatre, film, and television industries.
Our library is vast and our team will work closely with the client to
select material appropriate to the audience and the event.
“Let’s See It!” Speaker Reinforcement
The
Brave New Workshop cast can also re-enact specific scenarios or points
during executive presentations/content modules. For instance, perhaps
a leader
has just described a best-case scenario for a product or service, and
says “now, let’s see it!” BNW actors will do a quick
30-60 second vignette comically portraying that scenario. We have found
that
this format keeps your event audience engaged throughout executive presentations
and makes speakers look great! These vignettes may be scripted in
advance (and subject to client approval) if so desired. Still, they are
performed in a relaxed, spontaneous style.
Minneapolis Mainstage Shows
For our regional clients, we are happy to offer our kitschy, cozy 200-seat
theater in Uptown Minneapolis as a venue for any of our entertainment (or
speaker/training)
services at no additional cost. (This can yield savings of up to
$2000 on
technical
equipment
rentals.)
We serve beer, wine, espresso drinks, soda, and popcorn, and we can provide
catering recommendations. In addition, we offer our currently running mainstage
show as a private, special performance for groups of 150 or more.
Contact
us and find out how we can make your event so awesome it should be
