TRUTEN™ A1008 is a weathering steel, most commonly known as cold-rolled, that offers a rustic vintage appearance. It is very similar in appearance to our TRUTEN™ A606, but offers a more economical price point than TRUTEN™ A606.
TRUTEN™ A1008 has a dark gray appearance. It comes with a light oil coating. Once the oil coating rinses off, your roof will begin to rust naturally.
Sure. If you want a rusted appearance before installation, we can help with a recipe to pre-rust the panels within hours or days that you or your builder can perform. We'll provide our preferred recipe and instructions that should be completed in a well ventilated area.
Climate, pitch and maintenance all play a part in how long your roof will last. Dry climates experience the longest lifespans. Wet climates require additional preparations like installing a high quality underlayment to lengthen the lifespan of your roof.
