About our Mainstage Theater

Seating

The Brave New Workshop Mainstage is a general-admission theater. When you book your tickets in advance, you ensure that you will have tickets in the event of a sell-out, and it also gives you line-priority and speeds up your transaction time at the box office window. However, please arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime on big nights (basically, any holiday-show night) to allow enough time to pick out your seats and get settled in.

Latecomers

Patrons arriving after the show starts will be seated at an appropriate break in the performance, at the discretion of the management. Latecoming parties may also find that they will have to split up on full-show nights. Please do not be late!

Food/Drink

We serve Beer, Wine, Soda, Coffee, and Espresso drinks at our concession stand and you CAN bring them into the theater with you! We do not allow outside food or drink, however.

Parking

There is only residential street parking in this area --good news is it's FREE but bad news is you'll need to allow a few extra minutes to find a spot and walk to the theater. We recommend the west side of Hennepin Ave in particular- that is a very nice neighborhood.

Kids

We always say our shows are rated at least PG-13 for language and sexual inuendos. However, only you can judge for your kids what is appropriate or not. Please keep in mind that a lot of our humor is social satire, meaning many younger kids probably won't "get it". For the comfort and safety of everyone, we do not allow children under the age of 5 to attend the performances.

Uptown is filled with great places to chow down! Our favorites are The Green Mill (right accross the street) which has lots of Pizza and burgers, and La Toscana Ristorante (a little farther away but THE BEST Italian food EVER!). Green Mill's phone # is (612) 374-2131
