DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS AND THE THEATRE DISTRICT

With the arrival of the new Twins Stadium in 2010, flagship restaurants and hotels, and an amazing assortment of new and existing performing arts venues running diverse programming all year long, downtown Minneapolis is an exciting and vibrant place to be!  To learn more about what’s new downtown, check out the Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association.  

During your visit, you may notice some super- friendly, smiling, and helpful Minnesotans in neon yellow shirts.  No – they’re not magical elves – they are ambassadors for the Downtown Improvement District initiative, and they are awesome!  They’re here to offer assistance, answer questions, and help with directions,  so seek them out, even if it’s just to say “Thanks, magical elf!”
