Margi Simmons is a Twin Cities native and a graduate of the University of Minnesota. Margi's comedic career moved rapidly from the classrooms of the Brave New Workshop Student Union, where she was learning the art form of improvisation, to the mainstage of the theater, where she quickly gained a following. Her rising star propelled her over state lines to Los Angeles where she currently resides. Margi is staying true to her improvisational roots and performs with her group, The Returning Champs, at numerous theaters and comedy festivals. A resident company member and instructor for Parson's Nose Productions, she brings classic theater to family audiences and has taught thousands of young individuals how to find their voice through theater.

Through the Brave New Workshop, Margi continues to share her passion for improvisation by traveling with the Creative Outreach team and working with the best organizations in the world. Most currently Margi has started bringing her motivational insight to women's groups. She shares improvisational techniques that help women hone their creative confidence, improve their communication skills and manage the challenges of the contemporary workplace. Her infectious enthusiasm has helped inspire thousands at Ceridian, MasterCard, Sun Country Airlines, Wells Fargo, Microsoft, Dole, Kurt Salmon Associates, Accenture, General Mills and Land O'Lakes.
