• Seeking some inspiration to rally your best, confident self?
• Looking to meet new people and spark some change?
Join us at Brave Tuesdays: a 10-week community learning experience where we exercise our creativity, rekindle our grit and stretch our minds by practicing the time-tested principles and behaviors founded in our 60+ year study of improvisation and the Mindset of Discovery.
Why join?
Guided by master facilitators of the renowned Brave New Workshop, each session helps you discover ways to become more present, joyful and confident so that you can get more done and create the life and impact you want to have. We’re here to inspire, support and champion your desire to find your voice, move out of your comfort zone and connect with your happiest, best self.
What happens at Brave Tuesdays?
Each week you’ll join your group of supportive peers in a playful workout of the mind, body and soul. We’ll practice being in a Mindset of Discovery: shifting your energy and attention from stress, fear or distraction to positive forward - movement, creativity, resourcefulness and human connection.
You will flex your creativity, communication, and collaboration muscles through group and individual exercises, all in an inspiring environment of undeniable support. Your weekly practice will make you a better problem solver, influencer, leader and human.
We’ll share key concepts to maintaining your creative growth, learn about how our brains, bodies and intuition work together in powerful ways, and practice tools and skills to help you overcome the resistance, fears and patterns that get in the way of being our best selves. And it’s the Brave New Workshop, so you’re guaranteed to have fun and meet lifelong friends along the way.
Who is Brave Tuesdays for?
Whether you are navigating through a change (job, relationship, move, our current reality), seeking some inspiration for your creative pursuits (parenting, woodworking, writing, singing), need to brush up on some skills (public speaking, presentations, brainstorming, networking), or simply want to give yourself a happy little kick in the pants, we welcome you!
This program is designed for adults (18+) and absolutely no experience is necessary.

FAQ
I know Brave New Workshop is also a comedy theater. Do I have to be funny to take part?
No! Brave Tuesdays is not about comedy or being funny. It’s about spending time in a safe, fun environment and flexing your creative muscles with a group of like-minded brave learners. While many of the exercises we use are founded in our study of improvisation, we also utilize other time-tested tools and practices to ensure everyone feels confident to bring their authentic selves to the room.
Will I have to ‘perform’?
No! All sessions are active and interactive and group oriented, but you will not be asked to perform! We never put you on the spot in an uncomfortable way and everyone jumps in at the pace that works for them.
What happens in a typical session?
Each week will include a combination of group discussion, interactive exercises (yes, even virtually), personal reflection and tons of laughter and inspiration. Our facilitators are experts at creating the safe space needed for you to play and take risks.
Are you sure this is for me? This frankly makes me nervous.
It’s completely normal and human to be nervous anytime you put yourself out there and try something new. That’s just your brain protecting you. It’s also completely human to want to stretch, create and have fun. We’re here to support that. In fact, we believe everyone is creative and for 60+ years we’ve been creating experiences where humans of all walks of life can discover their best mindset and bravest, creative selves. So grab a friend, jump in and give it a try.
How many people have you worked with before?
We’ve been doing this a long time, in fact as long as anyone on the planet. We’ve worked with tens of thousands of individuals, groups and organizations to help humans break through fear and hesitation to discover their innate creative brilliance. We’re so honored to have worked with those people as they’ve reconnected with their authentic ingenuity and personal brave. In fact, we’ve never had a student fail.
If I’ve done something similar before or have done some improvisation, can I still join?
Yes! We believe growth and change come via regular practice. One of the main purposes of this program is to get you on your feet on a regular basis within a supportive group of similarly motivated people. Creativity, courage and connection are life-long pursuits and Brave Tuesdays is an inspiring way to keep that commitment to yourself. Whether you’re brand new or have practiced before, you will find benefit in each weekly session.
What can I bring to the first session?
Yourself and your open mind. We will send you some material and pre-reading materials before your first session, so you will feel fully prepared.
What technology do you use for the virtual cohorts?
We use Zoom, and you will receive instructions and login info before the first session. Ideally you would have a camera available and we recommend using a tablet or computer vs. a phone, so that you can see everyone at the same time.
What should I wear?
The more comfortable you are, the better - so if that means a suit, wear a suit, if that means jeans wear jeans. We will be moving around and standing for parts of the session (even virtually), but there will be no rolling on the ground or sun salutations. If you are coming straight from work, you will be just fine.
What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? ** For in-person cohorts only
Lots of options to and from downtown Minneapolis. Street parking, ramp parking and public transit are all available. You can find some suggestions here: https://www.bravenewworkshop.com/directions/
Still not sure? Any other questions?
We’d love to connect! You can contact us through Eventbrite or email [email protected] You can also always call or text Elena at 612-360-3803.
What’s the refund policy? What if I have to miss a class?
You can receive full refund if you cancel seven days in advance. You can also transfer your registration to a later cohort. If you are going to miss any specific days, you can make those up in the next cohort as well. By the way, we guarantee our program and we think you’ll experience some personal wins if you commit to regular attendance. However, if you’ve given it your best shot and still didn’t find value, we will refund you 100%
