With over 55 years of history, hundreds of creative and colorful individuals have graced our stages. Many have taken their writing and performing skills on to bigger and better things – earning the Brave New Workshop a reputation as a training ground for the most inventive minds in comedy.

Brave New Workshop Alum Movies

An alum is artistic director of the Arizona Theatre Company (and formerly of The Seattle Rep); alums are the founders of the Houston Comedy Workshop and Stevie Ray’s Improv Company.

BNW alums perform at the Guthrie Theatre, History Theatre, Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Illusion Theatre, Plymouth Playhouse, the acting company of NPR’s A Prairie Home Companion, and many others both locally and nationally.

Yep! The Brave New Workshop is noted in show biz as a training ground for the most inventive minds in comedy, including US Senator Al Franken, Louie Anderson, Mo Collins, Tom Davis, Peter MacNicol, Melissa Peterman, Pat Proft, Rich Sommer, Nancy Steen, Peter Tolan, Linda Wallem, Cedric Yarbrough, and many more!
